WARREN HOUSE

VETERINARY CENTRE

About Us

History

Founded by John Newcombe, the practice moved to its site at Warren House Farm in 1980. Jenny Alsop (née East) became John’s first assistant in 1987 and went into partnership in 1992, when the practice known as Newcombe and East was formed. On 1 March 2011, following incorporation as a Limited Company, the practice has now become the Warren House Veterinary Centre Ltd. The veterinary surgeons, nurses and administrative staff are unchanged and continue to provide the same level of friendly, caring and professional service for which the practice is noted.  The major change is that from 12 October 2011 the practice moved into a new purpose built, architect designed, clinic in which clients and their pets will enjoy an improved experience in the form of greater space and comfort, new facilities and more convenient parking arrangements. The new development is located just a few steps away from the old surgery and parking is now accessed from a new entrance in Lichfield Road.

The Warren House Veterinary Centre is a rapidly expanding Equine and Small Animal Clinic, situated conveniently just off the A5, near Brownhills, West Midlands.

We provide a friendly personal and professional service, with our OWN 24 hour, 7 day a week emergency cover.

Warren House Veterinary Centre, which has four full-time and one part-time veterinary surgeon, is a mixed small animal/ equine practice, provides a generalized equine ambulatory service and specializes in equine reproduction.

Advice to studs on reproductive procedures has been one of our specialties over a period extending back to before ultrasound was used in the equine field. The practice has always been on the pioneering edge of all reproductive techniques, such as Artificial Insemination (AI), frozen AI, Embryo Transfer (ET), reduction of twins, with significant success, whilst making these procedures affordable.

The small animal services that we offer have expanded considerably over the last few years and the new clinic has been developed to support this.
