Walking In of Thoroughbred mares

In the TB world, Jenny East can happily deal with your mares at Longdon Stud.  Here we can offer the full service of preparing and actually walking your TB mare in to any TB Stallion in the country.  In 2004 we achieved our exceptional results of walking in nearly 50 mares and approximately 98% held to only one cover on their first cycle.













Foaling Mares

Mares can be taken for foaling at either the Practice at Warren House Farm, or at our neighbouring stud, Longdon, approx. 5 miles away from the clinic. Both have CCTV and many, many years experience of foaling mares.

All foals born are monitored with blood tests, eg IgG levels for adequate colostral intake.

Stallion Infertility

Stallion infertility problems can also be investigated at the practice, or at our satellite surgeries.

Semen Collection   

Semen can be collected from your stallion and extended and shipped within the UK.  We can either collect at your stud using your mares in season or preferably at the clinic, using our jump mares.

If you would prefer not to travel to the main practice in Brownhills, we can easily arrange to meet you and your mare(s) and / or stallion(s) at one of our satellite surgeries.  We understand that it is often preferable to use facilities nearer home.  Here we can discuss your AI or natural service requirements on our twice weekly visits. Or we can simply program your mare for walking in to a stallion elsewhere.  Please understand that it is not possible to use frozen semen at these surgeries, although we can monitor your mare, prior to frozen AI.
